The most fun and memorable nights I have in NYC seem to follow this pattern: Meet friends - Chitchat, break bread, grab a pint, etc. Attend Comedy Show - The less mainstream the better. We are looking for aspiring stand-up comics who also work for any of the MTA agencies. LIRR, METRO-NORTH, MABSTOA, NYCTA, TBTA, etc. It doesn't matter your department, title, union, non-union, we just want to provide a space to share a good laugh and network.

Every thing in this group is completely free. This group will have Meetups once every two weeks where we see some of the best standup comedy shows in Queens and Brooklyn. There will always be a mingle before the show, often with drink specials, so members can meet. And there will never be a drink minimum. And the comedians will always be pros (and usually famous).

This group is for comedy shows that only have female comics. Most comedy shows in NYC have either all men or almost all men. Shows with all women can be as funny or even funnier. I love to go and create these types of shows and always have killer time. You can be a man or woman - doesn't matter - as long as you can appreciate a good comedy show with female comics.

The NYC Poetry, Puns & Pipes Meetup Group is all about bringing poets, comedians and singers together to first and foremost, have fun and entertain people.
